Tall Ship “Gloria” from Columbia visits Nova Scotia

Authors experiences Canada

The beautiful tall ship “ARC Gloria” from Columbia, visited the port of Halifax, NS for the past few days. Today the crew was very busy taking down the night lights trim, and climbing in the rigging. It was fun to hear the traditional naval whistle in use to communicate signals to the various crew. (takes me back to The Sound of Music – when the Navy Commander assigned unique whistle sounds to each of his many children). The guy standing on the bowsprit (almost Titanic style) was pulling down the line of lights from above.
